with Zachary and Marcus for Indoor Car Racing in Allentown and then a sleepover!   Kendall and I (well, more me than Kendall) madly cleaned the house in anticipation of heir visit.  Zachary surprised us a little early much to Clark Kent's delight.  Then we picked up Marcus and were on our way.  It took the boys a bit to be able to find topics for all three of them to chat about since Marcus and Zachary attend the same school and Kendall does not.  Kendall started to speak a few times, Zachary cut him off with a new topic and Marcus tried to include all 3 in the conversation. Kendall never became angry, tried multiple times to add to the conversation and never said anything.  Their personalities fascinate me.

Nothing like the smell of burnt rubber, gas and Rock 'n Roll (especially Bon Jovi).   We had great racing of midgets and sling cars with spin outs, crashes, collisions and even a fight (but they stopped it before any punches were thrown). A great venue with great prices. The young men practiced going through security and  I was the racing expert explaining what  was goin on (•‿•) when it really should be my Dad [thanks Dad (and Mom!) for the experiences]. We were in the lower nosebleed section and I think I was the only person nervous about the height! The parking was cheap but we were on floor 7 of 8 and one elevator to get back.  And the food was expensive and not so great. But I would rate it as one of the best live racing I've ever been to.

It took a bit to get to the car and the boys were so giddy on the ride home - not sure if was the sugar, nachos or both!  The silliness of all 3 boys in synch was pretty funny. They finally fell asleep after an hour of crazy conversation,   And we arrived back home early early Saturday morning.

But then some ice cream, a decision to sleep upstairs since it would be too cold, and conversation late into the night.

Cordelia, Clark Kent and I called it a night!

A day with nothing planned. We have so few days like this and just enjoyed being home.

Mid-Week Fun!

Our Solar City site survey was in the morning.  It went well and lasted about 2 hours.  It was my first look in the attic!

In the evening, we went on the Holiday Light Express on the Wilmington Western Railroad. I think we bought the last 2 tickets available since all the trains were sold out for this season.  We had lots of fun although we couldn't sit together. We had fun voting for the best holiday lights after we got back to the station.

GratiTuesday

We had our last session with Lori this morning so we can see how Kendall responds to the new school tutor with the Barton program. Kendall have Lori his handwritten thank you card and we are sad to not have any more sessions. But we'll keep in touch (•‿•)

We caught up on our shopping at BJs then enjoyed a Chinese lunch. We relaxed a bit then finished the evening with our last class of Tae Kwon Do until 2017!

The Day After Christmas

We had a great day on Monday just relaxing and Tae Kwon Do in the evening. We are enjoying sleeping in too much and no work or school ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Merry Christmas!

A nice walk with Clark, coffee started and Kendall awakened.  We both enjoyed coffee and opening presents.  More for Kendall to open and some fun family gifts.  He received lots of books, thinking putty (one of them was a glow putty with a backlight), a robot (from Tia Coreen) and Cardiff skates (Cardiff Skate Company at least up to mens size 13 - I am hoping Kendall's feet slow down increasing in size but I can use them if Kendall can't :-0) . As a family we received the Cairn Obsidian box with a solar charger for electronic devices, a lantern that can charge electronic devices, a cool duffle from Cotopaxi, an ultralight water purifier and real food for real adventure from Good To-Go. So we are ready for any apocalyse or disaster :-)

We served at church at the 10:30am service. Kendall and I dropped off a poinsettia with Mrs. Timm (who is 99 years strong) and enjoyed a wonderful visit with her. We plan to visit more with her this week.

We headed home to walk Clark and feed everyone and then enjoyed a wonderful meal and afternoon with the Nash/Melendez's.  We are grateful to be a part of this family. We tried out our new Fizzics system for beer - Fizzics. I purchased it on Kickstarter (I am addicted to Kickstarter!). We FaceTimed with the Abuelos, Skyped with Kevin in Costa Rica and then enjoyed Madea's Witness Protection and Beethoven 2 and 3.
