A Change Is Gonna Come
Songwriter: Sam Cooke

I was born by the river in a little tent

Oh and just like the river
I've been running ev'r since
It's been a long time, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
It's been too hard living, but I'm afraid to die
'Cause I don't know what's up there, beyond the sky
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
I go to the movie and I go downtown
Somebody keep tellin' me don't hang around
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
Then I go to my brother
And I say brother help me please
But he winds up knockin' meBack down on my knees, oh
There have been times that I thought I couldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able to carry on
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change is gonna come, oh yes it will
Buenas noches!

I Will Not Go Gently - Peoples Light production

John's Pizza and then a very funny one woman play.  It was a bit adult but Kendall and I both enjoyed it!

Inside I Will Not Go Gently

Jennifer Childs as Sierra Mista washed-up rock star staging a comeback from her "experimental" phase. (Photo by Mark Garvin)
Jennifer Childs wrote the award-winning script and stars as Sierra Mist... and Daphne Thundergrass... and Abby... and, well, everyone! If that wasn't impressive enough, she also composed the original music alongside People's Light regular Christopher Colucci. As an added bonus, Jen brought her stellar team from 1812 with her: People's Light company member Rosemarie McKelvey (costumes), former People's Light Master Carpenter Lance Kniskern (set), People's Light regulars Jorge Cousineau (video) & Lily Fossner (lights),Thomas E. Shotkin (stage manager, last seen here for Row After Row), and the Philadelphia theatre legend herself, director Harriet Power.
For a taste of Jen and Chris' musical magic, check out the official I Will Not Go Gently soundtrack on Spotify!

The First Week April 2018

and so far the same old story...

Monday - We took a break in the evening since the weekend was busy.  Kendall went outside and I tried to catch up inside.  BUT he decided not to finish his homework.

So on Tuesday - I received an email stating 'I am going to request that you sign off on Kendall's hw each night. He is not completing it or is getting done without effort fairly consistently. I know he can do better. This morning I had him fix and complete last night's hw and he made out fine. We are careful to differentiate authentic effort with challenging assignments,  with work he just would rather avoid. We have talked to him and he understands that we would be emailing you. If you could just cross reference his hw assignments with his work and then initial in his assignment book.'
And we went to Tae Kwon Do and finished homework a little later since Tae Kwon Do is a little longer

Buenas noches!
