Thoughtful Thursday

Kendall is sending me an email every day after I drop him off at school.

Kendall
I LOVE  YOU  TOO🐕🐂🐎

Me:
I love you more! 😘

Don't forget to put away your clothes 👕 and the clean dishes in the dishwasher 🔪🍽when you get home.

You can practice the piano with the Abuelos 🎹🎼

If you can read this email with me when I get home you will get a reward💰 💵🍇🍒🍪🍦🍫

Love

Mom 👩🏽‍🏫

Kendall did everything I asked him in the email (he told me he had the computer read it to him and we talked about what he could do before I came home) AND he read my email to me with some difficulty but he did it.  He decided he wanted a movie and we looked at few (that are now on our watchlist) before settling on Saint Ralph. This was a fabulous movie (you are drawn into the story connecting with Raplh and feeling a part of something bigger than ourselves) - Read this wonderful article Mike McGowan - Marathon Winner and Saint Ralph Movie Director By Doug Kurtis

Buenas noches!

Cherry Pickin' Wednesday

Kendall had a Cherry Picking Adventure at Milburn Orchards.  I told Kendall to picks lots of cherries and he brought extra money.  He knows we have a cherry depitter :-) And in the evening some reading and Tae Kwon Do (despite several comments of 'Do we have to?' - yep we do!)

Bueans noches!

Piano Tuesday

A gorgeous day with the intent to do more reading but instead made Pork Dumplings with Quick Pickled Veggie Salad and Soy Dipping Sauce (thanks Hello Fresh!) with a thumbs up from Kendall. The soy sauce and the salad vinegar dressing both had sugar :-)

And we enjoyed reading Kendall's subscription of  National Geographic Kids!

Buenas noches!

No Tae Kwon Do Monday

Tae Kwon Do was cancelled for a Little Tigers Belt test so we did some weeding, reading and a little Dukes of Hazzard.

And Kendall rode the horse by himself today. He is very excited to share the news with Tia Lisa and Tio Steve and Tia Coreen since they all have horses!

Buenas noches!

Catch Up Sunday

Church and a Christian Education meeting in the morning.  Kendall promised to spend the day with me. So we read and cleaned up a bit from all the laundry I did yesterday.  And I think I found all the lost art from goiing through Kendall's book bag and Trapper Keeper. I especially like the 72 game.

I finally started an exercise video while Kendall was cleaning his room - The Groove Method I liked and made it through the 39 minutes,   I am looking forward to doing this on a regular basis. Shrimp and Orzo for dinner and we tried to get to bed early.  We did have a quick chat with the Abuelos where I found out that Kendall said he went to bed but didn't. They Facetimed and I heard it but Kendall had earphones and his laptop on :-(  We chatted with the Abuelos about getting enough sleep and then we REALLY went to bed.

Buenas noches!

Lazy Saturday

I awoke to a rain storm so Clark and I stayed in a bit longer. We enjoyed a late light shower walk in the morning, It felt good.  Kendall played outside most of the day and I tried to organize a bit. So it was a stay at home day.

Buenas noches!

First Day of Extended School Year

For 6 weeks at a new school culminating in Kendall's 13th birthday (and he is already planning the party 🎉). Kendall is having the maximum reading interventions that he could have over the summer and he is pretty excited about it. We are so grateful to the Abuelos for helping out with tuition.

We had busy morning with a dentist appointment for me than Kendall being dropped off at the new school. No photos since according to Kendall - I take too many photos.

An early piano lesson since Kendall has a Tae Kwon Do belt test tomorrow. And then Tae Kwon Do.

And Happy Birthday Cousin Jana and a new cousin Ryder Norberto born today at 07:54am, weighing 7.10lbs & 19.5 inches long. He is in the NICU as he had additional fluid in lungs being born a bit earlier. He is responding well and the doctors have reduced his oxygen help already. Mom his doing well after having a c-section. Bienvenido a nuestra familia!

Feliz Lunes and buenas noches!

Piano Recital Sunday and Happy Father's Day, Dad

Church this morning, some organization for the week and then Kendall's piano recital.  He did a fabulous job!  Our neighbor is his piano teacher and she teaches piano and voice. This recital was a combination of piano and voice and was wonderful.  Kendall played twice on a keyboard not on a piano like he has practiced and stood instead of sat on a stool since he is so tall.  Kendall is very adaptable to any situation.  At the end, his teacher sang Climb Every Mountain and it was marvelous.

And Happy Father's Day to the best Dad ever! You are always there whenever I need a push or pulled back, hug and a kiss, shoulder to cry on, advice or wise words. You g are the best Dad for me.  I am pulling double duty as Mom and Dad and I am only able to do that since I learned from you.  Kendall and I love you to infinity and beyond.  Enjoy your day and and Rud Spice. We are so glad we were able to FaceTime today! We enjoyed steak with Rud Spice, corn and jasmine rice for dinner and Abuela Linda is making special ribs with Rud Spice for Dad.

Buenas noches!
