Happy MLK Day!

We love the Delaware Museum of Natural History! So an 8am drop meant a little extra time in bed for all of us!  It was a windy and cold night.  Clark and I were glad to climb into bed after our walk!

For Martin Luther King Jr Day, they have 'Scientists Make a Difference' with hands-on crafts and activities that highlight scientific contributions to natural history from scientists all around the world. Kendall will learn how HE can make difference in the natural world and become a scientist himself with our interactive stations.  I am so glad he is spending the day here today and not stressed at the YMCA.

The late pick up is 5:30pm so we are testing this out for a possibility for summer camp and whether we can get to Tae Kwon Do on time.   It is doable to get to Tae Kwon Do on time but we decided to take the night off.  It was very cold!   Kendall had a great time and they did a fossil dig inside so he brought home some rocks.  And he learned all about the desert and bats - that's all he could talk about on the way home. Well that plus the fact that Kendall wanted to really watch the new Disney movie, Rufus, where the family dog turns into a boy. Disney does advertise well!

And in honor of Martin Luther King Jr -  here is one of his quotes:
"The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists, who are dedicated to justice, peace, and brotherhood. The trailblazers in human, academic, scientific, and religious freedom have always been nonconformists. In any cause that concerns the progress of mankind, put your faith in the nonconformist!"

Buenas noches!
