Early church, Altar Guild (our last Sunday of the year!), Sunday School and late church since the Children's Choir was singing. In Sunday School, we celebrated Mayor Bob Broderick's birthday (it was Oct 29) and talked about how we figure out what is right or wrong. At both church services, Kendall and I did a Temple Talk on Community and how important the church community is to us since our immediate family is Arizona and extended family is in New York. I have been a member for almost 14 years and knew no one when I joined. Now Kendall and I know pretty much everyone. We usually attend the first service so we can do more things on our Sunday so all the folks there see us every Sunday. At the second service, Kendall was being a bit comical and everyone clapped for us when we were done speaking :-) I've added photos and a video of the Children's Choir for Reformation for your enjoyment.
We left the second service after the choir to pick up Marcus to celebrate his 12th birthday! Decisions, decisions as to what to do so we went to Kohl's to have a security tag removed first [we did set off the alarm but they checked the wrong coat :-( ], some appetizers and dessert at Applebee's then onto Movie Tavern to see Boo! A Madea Halloween IN THE FRONT ROW. Thank goodness for reclining seats! A pumpkin chai latte shake for me and oreo shakes for the boys. Marcus had wings and Kendall had carrot cake, too - where do they put it? The movie was so much fun - we laughed and laughed! Spoiler Alert - there is a scary clown in it!
Kendall and Marcus had a stellar day and can't wait until Halloween!
We were lucky to make it home and walk the dogs before a thunderstorm. After some organizing and cleaning we settled in to watch Hocus Pocus!
Buenas noches!
