Around the World in 80 Days

Kendall was acolyte again in church and we learned about The Parable of the 2 Sons (Matthew 21:28–32):

"But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, 'Son, go work in my vineyard.' He answered, 'I will not,' but afterward he changed his mind, and went. He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, 'I go, sir,' but he didn't go. Which of the two did the will of his father?"

They said to him, "The first."

Jesus said to them, "Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into the Kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn't believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you didn't even repent afterward, that you might believe him."

In this parable, Jesus speaks to the Chief Priests who believed they were without sin. The essential message of the parable is that God values actions over words.

We worked on cleaning the basement, organizing the garage and fixing a flat tire Kendall has on his bike. And another long walk for CK :-) Now we are watching Around the World in 80 Days. Phileas Fogg, Lau Xing, and Monique La Roche dare to do what no one has done before – beat the clock in a race around the world. Traveling the globe by land, sea, air, and even in-line skates, they're greeted with impossible obstacles at every planned and unplanned stop along the way, making their fantastically speedy voyage more frantic and heart-pounding than ever!

Buenas noches!
