We took Amtrak to New York City from Downingtown, PA. As soon as we were at the Downingtown station, he kept looking for the train. Highlights from the train trip included Stickman, Stickman 2 and Stick Stuntman on the Kindle, where are we now and the bridges and bodies of water and his favorite the double decker trains in New Jersey. I told him the next time we got to NYC, we will drive to NJ then take the double decker bus.
We arrived as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was ending. Just as we exited Penn Station was where bands were lining up for pictures. I took one photo then we took a taxi to Aunt Loretta and Uncle Joe's in Manhattan. They have a marvelous view of NYC from their apartment and were able to the beginning section of the parade. We also watched the end of the parade on TV and Kendall really enjoyed it.
We had a true Italian Thanksgiving with multiple courses, lots of incredible food and a relaxing time catching up with family. Many thanks to Aunt Loretta, Uncle Joe and their dog Bianca for their hospitality! Kendall had a first Thanksgiving to remember :-)
