A great sermon at church today discussing Cross+Generational Engagement of the congregation as we do not have enough folks to teach for Sunday School this year. Cross+Generational Engagement should create an image of all
ages gathering around the cross and journeying
together. A cross+generational approach embedded
into a community of faith meaningfully engages
children, youth, young adults, adults and elders
into the planning, life and witness of that congregation. The desired outcome is an
authentic community representing the gifts, experiences,
faith stories and cultures of diverse ages
and multiple generations for the purpose of reconciliation
in our households, congregations, community
and world.
We had some wonderful speakersfrom the congregation and Adrienne made 2 great videos since she is out of town. Kendall stepped in to acolyte and surprise, was a communion assistant pouring the wine sucessfully for the first time solo. I was so nervous since this was not planned but so proud that he did a spectacular job with compliments from lots of folks.
We did some BJs shopping for us, VBS and some ice cream for National Ice Cream Day. After some organization of the laundry, we settled in for some Angel. Kendall practiced piano and read with Abuelos and we can honestly say this was a stellar day and weekend.
Too bad it's Monday tomorrow :-)

Buenas noches!
