The Abuelos left this morning back to their casa in Arizona. Kendall and I went to the aeropuerto this morning with them and waited until their plane took off.  We now know about the $29 departure tax that each person has to pay and the layout of the aeropuerto. We left in a taxi back to Suites Cristina at 12:30pm.  Kendall reacted much better than I expected.  He was calm and understood everything.   Maybe because I promised him a sopresa en la tarde (surprise in the afternoon)! Or perhaps it was that we are going to visit the Abuelos in Arizona in May, which is 2 months away!

It was very windy and chilly today so the pool or a boat ride, which I was planning as the sopresa, was a no go.  So we went to the Escazu Multiplaza to find a sopresa and we did!  Kendall picked out a remote controlled helicopter (Red Bull BO-105 CB CX RTF Helicopter). Luckily, the folks in the hobby store spoke English and Espanol and a boy close to Kendall's age was showing him how to use the controller.  This helicopter requires 2 hands, much coordination and moving slowly.  Kendall actually crashed the helicopter a few times in the store since he tries to move the gas quickly but they worked with us for about an hour before we left the store - thank goodness!   The Blade^® Red Bull CB^CX has a state-of-the-art 2.4GHz control with advanced Blade engineering and electronics.  I'm sure it's easy to fly after you practice!  We practiced only hovering today. Add on playing in arcade and winning prizes, helado and playing in a play area and we both enjoyed the afternoon.

Tomorrow, we will practice all the remote controlled devices...
