Iglesia and un Perezoso Dia

We made it to the 8am church service but Kendall was very tired. He went to Sunday School with me and helped in the Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten class. He had a great time, works very well and is attentive to younger children.  We learned about the 10 men that Jesus healed. Out of the 10 ten that were healed, only one came back to say thank you. We made Thank You cards and Kendall was thankful for Kevin.

We went to Payless Shoes to get a pair of dress shoes for his First Communion October 27. There is a boys size 6 and a men's size 6 - they are the same size.  So he is half the size of a man in shoe size and height already.  And he announced to the cashier as we paid fir the shoes :)

We picked up lunch for Pastor Susan since we met with her to talk about Communion for about 45 minutes close to lunchtime.  Kendall learned the difference about what Catholics, Lutherans and Methodists believe about the bread and wine. Catholics believe the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ; Lutherans believe that Christ enters the bread and wine when it is blessed so it is over, in and under the bread and wine and Methodists view communion as a reminder. Next week we are reviewing the why of the bread and wine and what it means.

So we read story in Spanish this afternoon and talked about it. We also had a catnap, had breakfast for dinner and watched TV. Kendall loves The Amazing Race.

Buenas noches!
