The Great Urban Dare Philadelphia and Jurassic Park in 3D

This morning Kendall and I were exhausted from yesterday but we met Eunice, one of my co-workers and partner in crime for Great Urban Races and Dares, in Exton, PA to drive to O'Shea's pub at 19th and Sansom Street for The Great Urban Race. We arrived early and discovered a wonderful Farmer's Market with fresh raspberries and pear and apple cider. The pear cider from Frecon Farms was fantastic and we were asked a lot questions about it we were drinking it.  Our goal was to get back to the market by 4pm when it closes for more cider, fresh vegetables, fruit and cheese. We checked in at O'Sheas Pub and had a fabulous lunch at the Shake Shack.

The race started at noon after the costume contest. We had to search for folks with clue sheets and then ended up in Barnes and Nobles for wi fi. We deciphered everything and then mapped out route. We headed out at 12:55pm and clocked in at 4:20pm. Photos are below. We missed the end of the Farmer's market but we walked the entire race.  Kendall held my had the whole way, helped us with dares and clues and walked about 6 miles. I have a incredible, resilient and intelligent son - Yo tengo un hijo increíble, fuerte y resistente!

We are watching Jurassic Park in 3D and Spanish. The film centers on the fictional Isla Nublar near Costa Rica's  Pacific Coast, where a billionaire philanthropist and a small team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of cloned dinosaurs. He told me he wants to go and was disappointed that it was not real. People has not seen this movie before so he will probably change his mind about wanting to go by the end of the movie! And now Herbie Goes Bananas in Spanish.

We are tired - buenas noches!

P.S. We had a great day and Kendall is now a part of Great Urban Race and Dare Crew with myself, Eunice and Abuelo Ricardo. When I ask if he the wants to race again, we'll see how much he enjoyed the race then :-)
