Kendall will be attending an after school on Wednesdays called, Bricks 4 Kidz. This 6 week session is "Energy is Everywhere." Kendall will be introduced tothe concepts of renewable and non renewable sources of energy and will be making Windmill, Solar panels, Oil pump Jack, Trees and nature scenery, Garbage truck and "make your own" models using Legos. He had a great time!
Today we had Kendall's Individualized Education Plan meeting at school. It went well but Kendall will need to readjust to increased learning. He needs to understand what the plan is and sign the document. I started to explain it to him and we ended up with a rough night for homework entonces no TV. It took all night to do his spelling words and math. he more interested in drawing and trying not to the work. He was very displeased when I told him no TV and only reading.
Reading was better than bedtime, though! We read the book Monster Trucks and identified the first letter of a lot of words. He was able to identify them ~95% of the time. We started Dawn Till Dusk/De la aurora al crepúsculo by Maria Retana. It is an exciting adventure that follows Tom and Jorge as they travel through time to the Medieval era "when peasants struggled for daily survival, Lords ruled the land and magic help to even the score." He checked out the Encyclopedia from the library :-)
